Valencia appoint West Brom manager Carlos Corberán as their new head coach

London London. Relegation-threatened Valencia have appointed West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberán as their new head coach until June 2027. Valencia fired Ruben Barraza on Monday as the Spanish club slipped into the relegation zone after suffering another shock in La Liga. Protests broke out again against Singaporean owner Peter Lim.

“Carlos Corberán has been appointed coach of Valencia CF, signing a contract until 2027,” a statement on Valencia's website on Wednesday morning said. “A buy-out option was taken up in his contract with West Bromwich Albion, allowing him to leave.” No official figure was given, but compensation for the former Valencia youth player was reported to be around $3 million.
