Vande Bharat sleeper train ran at a speed of 180 km per hour…but not even a drop of water fell, watch video

New Delhi : Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared a video on social media on Tuesday and informed about another major achievement of Indian Railways. He told that a successful trial of Vande Bharat Sleeper train was conducted, in which this train ran at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour on the Kota-Nagda section. This test was conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS).

Water test showed the strength of the train
The most special aspect of this trial was the “water test”. In the video shared by the Railway Minister, it was seen that the speed on the mobile screen inside the train was reaching 182 km per hour, while the glasses filled with water placed on top of each other remained stable without spilling. This test shows the excellent stability, balance and modern technology of the train.

Capacity of existing Vande Bharat trains
Vande Bharat Express trains currently running on the Indian Railways network fall in the semi-high speed category. Their design speed is 180 km per hour, while the maximum speed of operation has been kept at 160 km per hour. According to the Railway Ministry, the average speed of trains depends on the track design, stoppages and maintenance works en route.

There will be a big change in night travel
Railway Ministry says that the upcoming Vande Bharat sleeper trains will completely change night travel. These trains will provide higher speed, modern facilities and more comfort for long distance passengers. These have been specially designed keeping in mind the AC class passengers, which will significantly reduce the travel time.

Regular operations will start soon
It has been told in the year-end review of Railways that Vande Bharat sleeper trains will soon be ready for operation. Initially these will be run on busy routes and later gradually they will be started on other routes also. The ministry believes that this initiative will change the definition of long distance train travel.

Continuous expansion of Vande Bharat network
Earlier in December, Indian Railways had extended the Vande Bharat Express service to Narasapur, further improving travel between Chennai and coastal Andhra Pradesh. This not only strengthened the connectivity, but also gave the passengers a fast and comfortable travel experience with modern facilities.

Technological leap of Indian Railways
This successful trial of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is being considered an important step towards the technical progress and self-reliance of Indian Railways. With the combination of high speed, safety and comfort, this train can set a new standard for future rail travel.
