🔹Why were the remaining gaps removed first?
Novel on Vande Mataram (1870) written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee ‘Anandmath’ Was included in. This song became popular during the independence movement.

“Bahubaldharini Namami Tarinim,
Ripudalvarini Mataram…”
“You are knowledge, you are religion…
“Tomarei Pratima Gadi Mandir-Mandire…”
“Tvam Hi Durga Dashpraharandharini…”
In these lines the motherland has been linked to goddesses like Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati.

Maulana Azad
Jawaharlal Nehru
Conclusion of the Committee:
The first two stanzas are based on patriotism and praise of the motherland.
Later intervals are associated with religious symbols.
Therefore it was decided that Only the first two stanzas will be sung as the national anthem.
🔹What happened after independence?
Despite this the Muslim League was not satisfied. Mohammad Ali Jinnah had demanded its complete removal in 1938.
But-

President Dr. Rajendra Prasad announced the acceptance of Vande Mataram as the national anthem in the Constituent Assembly.
Since then only its first two parts remained in use.
