Gas cylinder blast took two lives

Both were brother and sister and lived in the same house. 60 year old Girija Sahni and her son Aman Sahni have been seriously injured. Both were immediately admitted to BHU Trauma Center, where their condition still remains critical. This gas cylinder blast was so strong that the walls of the entire house collapsed within a few seconds and all the family members were buried under the debris.
Dilapidated house becomes major cause of accident
According to the information, this family was living in an old and dilapidated house. Due to financial constraints he was not able to shift to a better house. On Tuesday morning, when Girija Sahni was preparing breakfast for her children, there was leakage in the cylinder pipe. Within a few moments the gas cylinder exploded and the entire house collapsed. This incident has once again raised the question of how dangerous living in dilapidated houses can be.
Local people saved their lives, but two people could not survive.
Hearing the sound of the explosion, nearby people immediately reached the spot and started relief work without any delay. People removed the debris, took out the injured and immediately took them to the hospital. But the lives of Preeti and Omprakash could not be saved during treatment. This accident happened so suddenly that no one got a chance to recover.
This reason came to light in police investigation
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police and administration team reached the spot and started investigation. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the explosion occurred due to leakage in the pipe of the gas cylinder. ADCP Neetu Kadyan said that the house was already dilapidated, due to which the damage increased further. He also clarified that no such thing as hoarding of cylinders has come to light. At present the police is investigating the entire matter.
