Varun Dhawan returns with ‘Double Trouble’ love story, first look of ‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’ goes viral
Romantic comedy films have their own craze in Bollywood, and now a new film in this genre has increased the curiosity of the audience. As soon as the first look of Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur’s film ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ was released, the discussion on social media has intensified. The special thing is that the glimpse of the film reminded people of old films, due to which its buzz has increased even more.
On April 14, Varun Dhawan shared the first video of the film on his Instagram account. This video starts with two children talking about their respective fathers. During the conversation, they come to know that their father’s name is the same – Jas, played by Varun Dhawan.
Further in the video, Varun is shown romancing with Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur in different styles. In the end, the children call this story a ‘double trouble love story’, which makes it clear that the film is going to be full of confusion and comedy. While sharing this first look, Varun wrote that this is a fun film of David Dhawan, which will be released in theaters on 22 May 2026.

Fans remembered old films
As soon as the first video of the film was released, the audience started connecting it with Govinda’s old film ‘Sandwich’. Many people commented and said that its story seems to be very similar to the same film. Some users even called it a remake of ‘Sandwich’, while some also saw a glimpse of ‘Judwaa 2’ in it. In the 2006 film ‘Sandwich’, Govinda played the role of a common man living a double life. Raveena Tandon and Mahima Chaudhary were with him in the film. The story was about a man who, due to circumstances, marries twice and handles both the families separately. He maintains a balance between his two lives for years, but when both families move to the same place, difficulties increase. Although this film was not very successful at the box office, people still remember its story and comedy.
