Varun Dhawan Shares Emotional Note Ahead of Border 2 Release: ‘A Film That Pushed Me to My Limits’
Actor Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the theatrical release of his much-anticipated film Border 2, scheduled to hit cinemas on January 23. Ahead of the release, the actor shared a heartfelt message reflecting on his challenging journey while working on the war drama.
Over the past few weeks, Varun has faced online trolling, particularly over his expressions and smile, which were widely turned into memes. Addressing the moment indirectly, the actor chose to focus on his work and gratitude instead.
Varun Dhawan’s Emotional Post
Taking to Instagram, Varun shared a series of behind-the-scenes pictures from the shoot. One photo featured him with co-stars Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, while another showed him wounded yet resolute in character.
In the caption, Varun wrote:
“A battle. #Border2. A film that really pushed me to my limits. An experience which so many people helped me get through. It changed me for good. Injuries, personal life changes and submitting to the craft. Can’t wait for everyone to watch this film tomorrow.”
He added that the film tested him both physically and emotionally, describing the experience as transformative.
Unfazed by Trolling
At a recent pre-release event, Varun spoke candidly about the criticism surrounding him. He said he prefers to let his work speak for itself rather than reacting to online noise.
“You shut down the noise and let your work do the talking. All this keeps happening, it doesn’t really matter. What I work for, you will see this Friday,” the actor said.
