Developed India in UP – Ji Ram Ji should be widely propagated: Keshav Prasad Maurya
Lucknow : UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a detailed review meeting of the works and implementation of schemes of the Rural Development Department with district level departmental officers at Circuit House, Prayagraj on Saturday. On this occasion, he directed the officials to ensure that the implementation of all the schemes of the Double Engine Government is done with complete transparency, quality and as per the prescribed time-limit, so that the general public can get the benefits of the schemes on time.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that all development works should be completed within the stipulated time as per the prescribed standards. He gave instructions to ensure timely creation of man days prescribed under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA) and said that the work should be expedited by making a concrete and effective action plan. Emphasizing on the wide publicity of Vikas Bharat-Ji Ram Ji, he directed that the information about its characteristics should be spread to the people in rural areas in a simple and effective manner. Along with this, instructions were also given to prepare small video clips of the excellent and noteworthy works of the department and share them on various mediums of social media.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya stressed the need to further accelerate the formation of self-help groups and activate inactive groups under the State Rural Livelihood Mission. He said that a target has been set to make one crore women in the state ‘Lakhpati Didi’, in which Prayagraj should play a leading role. He said that the vision of a developed India can be realized only by making women self-reliant and self-reliant.
Referring to the completion of survey work of new beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), he said that there is a possibility of getting allocation from the Government of India soon, hence all necessary preparations should be ensured in advance. Besides, emphasis was laid on selection of eligible beneficiaries as per the priorities set under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Rural).
Laying special emphasis on women empowerment, self-reliance and income growth under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, the Deputy Chief Minister underlined the concept of ‘Strong Women – Secure Society’. He said that remarkable work is being done in the state under Mission Shakti and many effective and commendable initiatives have been taken by the Rural Development Department for the upliftment of women, in which Prayagraj has active participation. He directed the officers to establish better coordination and take necessary steps for effective and speedy implementation of the schemes.

The Deputy Chief Minister also said that there will be no shortage of funds for the operation of the State Rural Livelihood Mission and special attention should be paid to strengthening human resources for effective operation of the schemes. He stressed that by working with coordinated efforts, strong action plan and commitment, new momentum should be given to the overall development of the state through rural development and public welfare schemes.
