Vedanta Limited Share: The board of Anil Aggarwal-owned company Vedanta Limited has today approved the fourth interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25. This time the company has declared a dividend of Rs 8.5 per share, for which the record date has been declared as 24 December 2024.

Let us tell you that in the meeting of the Board of Directors, payment of Rs 3,324 crore has been approved for issuing dividend. The company has given this information through exchange filing after the stock market closed on Friday.

The company has given a dividend of Rs 46 in 12 months

Vedanta Limited has paid a total dividend of Rs 35 per equity share so far in FY 2025. In the last 12 months the company has issued a dividend of Rs 46 per share.

This year the company has declared dividend 3 times, which includes Rs 20 per share on 10 September 2024, Rs 4 on 2 August 2024 and Rs 11 per share on 24 May 2024. At the same time, the fourth dividend of Rs 8.5 per share will be issued.

Vedanta September quarter results

If we look at the quarterly results of the company, Vedanta earned a profit of Rs 5,603 crore in the quarter ending September 30, 2024, whereas it had suffered a loss of Rs 915 crore in the same quarter last year.

However, revenue from operations declined 4% year-on-year to Rs 37,171 crore from Rs 38,546 crore a year ago. During this period, the company's EBITDA stood at Rs 9,828 crore, while its margin was 26.1%.

Production increased in September 2024

The company produced a record 609 kilotonnes (kt) of aluminum during July-September 2024, showing a growth of 3% year-on-year. Apart from this, production of aluminum also increased by 8% to 499 kilotonnes (kt). At the same time, the cost of aluminum production has also decreased by 4% to $ 1,734 per ton. All these figures reflect the strong operating position of the company.
