Veena Manvi’s nomination canceled, the nomination paper had signatures of only 9 proposers instead of 10.

By-election is to be held in Bankipur on July 30 and nominations of many candidates have been cancelled. This also includes Veena Manvi, candidate of Tej Pratap Yadav’s party Janashakti Janata (JJD). After the cancellation of nomination, Tej Pratap himself reached Patna Collectorate on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) and found out the reason for cancellation of nomination. Although he did not mention the reason to the media, but news is coming that Veena Manav’s nomination has been canceled due to a small mistake.

It is being told that it is mandatory to have the signatures of 10 proposers on the nomination paper of the candidate. Signatures of only 9 proposers were found in Veena Manvi’s nomination papers. This is the reason why Veena Manvi’s nomination was rejected. That means, due to this one mistake, Veena Manvi is out of Bankipur.

Let us tell you that even though there is a by-election in Bankipur, the atmosphere is such that discussions are taking place across the country. First the BJP candidate was changed and then the nomination of Tej Pratap’s candidate Veena Manvi was cancelled. RJD has reacted on Bankipur assembly by-election. Party spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said, “No matter how much these people claim, no matter how much pressure BJP puts in, the people of Bankipur have made up their mind, this time they have to be taught a lesson.”

RJD chief spokesperson Shakti Yadav said, “The situation is very clear in Bankipur by-election. Everyone is fighting against RJD, but this time RJD will win there. No impostor will succeed.”

Regarding Bankipur by-election, BJP MP Shambhu Sharan Patel said, “This seat has been a stronghold of BJP for a long time and this time the party will win by a bigger margin of votes than before. Whether Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate contests the election, Prashant Kishor himself contests the election or Tejashwi Yadav becomes the candidate, the result will be in favor of BJP.”
