‘Vermilion’ Brahms sealed the deal! Modi has also been awarded Indonesia’s highest honor
Brahms Agreement between India and Indonesia finally sealed. During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, it was decided that India will supply additional units of Brahms to Indonesia. Which means, Indonesia will buy this missile from India as the third country after the Philippines and Vietnam. It is known that during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Indonesia, several other agreements were completed along with Brahms. In addition, the President of Indonesia, Prabobo Subianto, conferred India’s highest civilian honor on the Prime Minister of India.
Modi held a bilateral meeting with Indonesian President Prabobo Subianto in Jakarta on Tuesday. In that meeting, several agreements were concluded between the two countries. It was there that the decision was made to purchase the ‘weapon’ air-to-air missile, the Brahms. It was also decided in the meeting that India will help Indonesia in manufacturing ‘Electronic Voting Machine’ or ‘EVM’. Which will highlight the electoral transparency of the country on foreign soil. Tuesday is the second day of Narendra Modi’s visit to Indonesia. On this day, Narendra Modi was given the country’s highest civilian honor ‘Bintang Adipurna’ in recognition of his role in improving bilateral relations between India and Indonesia.
It was decided in the meeting that India will help Indonesia in manufacturing ‘Electronic Voting Machine’ or ‘EVM’.
It has also been decided that India will supply Indonesia with additional batteries for its supersonic cruise missile ‘Brahms’, which will further strengthen the coastal defense system of the Indonesian Navy. In addition to this, Indonesia is a country located near the Strait of Malacca. As a result, it has been decided to jointly develop the strategically important Sabang port in Indonesia. A major step forward in maritime trade and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
President Subianto announced that India and Indonesia will work together on digital public infrastructure. This includes cross-border connectivity between India’s UPI and Indonesia’s QRIS (QR Payment Code). This enables Indian tourists and businessmen traveling to Bali and other destinations to make digital payments easily and affordably directly from their phones. India has decided to open campuses of IITs and IIMs in Indonesia to expand education.
