VHP and Bajrang Dal workers arrested for vandalizing Assam before Christmas

Christmas Vandalism: Before Christmas, cases of vandalism by anarchist elements came to light at many places in different cities. Regarding which the opposition leaders had expressed their displeasure and demanded strict action from the government. Meanwhile, four people associated with Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have been arrested for vandalizing a school in Assam ahead of Christmas.

According to news agency PTI, police said that four people belonging to Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal have been arrested for vandalizing decorations used for Christmas celebrations in a school in Assam’s Nalbari district and damaging festival items in shops. A senior official said the arrests were made on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday, when the accused allegedly entered St Mary’s School in Panigaon village under Belsore police station and burnt and damaged decorations kept for Christmas celebrations. They are also accused of damaging festival items in shops.
