Victory in the war with Iran… Trump’s claim in his 20-minute address, could not make nuclear weapons, US Army will finish the work
Washington. US President Donald Trump said in his address to the nation on Wednesday that American forces will soon “finish the job in Iran because the main strategic objectives are almost accomplished.” Trump claimed that significant progress has been made towards achieving his goals in the war with Iran and these goals are to destroy Iran’s missile production capacity and navy and to ensure that the proxy organizations working for it can no longer destabilize the region and Iran could not develop nuclear weapons.
Trump, in his first address to the nation after the start of the Iran war, said that this military action was not taken to obtain any of Iran’s vast resources, including oil, but to help America’s allies. He said, “We are completely different from the Middle East but still we are there to help.” He said, “We do not need to be there. We don’t need their oil. We don’t need whatever they have but we are there to help our allies.
Trump said on Wednesday night in the Cross Hall of the White House, the official residence and office of the US President, that due to the actions of Operation ‘Epic Fury’ in the last one month, Iran’s ability to fire missiles and drones has been significantly reduced and its weapons factories and rocket launchers are being destroyed.
Trump said Iran’s “navy has been decimated, its air force has been destroyed and that country’s leaders are now dead.” He also said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps “is being decimated by our actions right now.” Trump addressed the nation on ‘prime time’ for the first time since attacking Iran in collaboration with Israel about a month ago. “Over the past week, our armed forces have achieved many swift, decisive and overwhelming victories on the battlefield,” Trump said.
