In the video you can see that some people have tied an old woman to a pillar and are beating her. After the video went viral, the police have arrested six accused. The woman is being described as mentally deranged. According to the police, a video had gone viral on social media on Sunday, in which a woman was being tied to a pillar, beaten and abused.

​Shubham, son of Lakhimchand, resident of Labor Colony of Ranipur police station area of ​​Haridhar district, told that his mother Sunita had left the house for a walk on Saturday morning. During this time, some people together caught the mother and beat her severely. After this, they tied the mother to an electric pole and made a video of them beating her again. On Sunday, they made that video viral on social media. Ranipur Kotwali in-charge Shanti Kumar Gangwar said that a case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s son. After identifying everyone from the viral video, Rahul, Inder, Ashu, Nagesh and Rakesh, residents of Labor Colony and a woman Maya Devi were arrested. All the accused were presented in the court of inquiry, where their remand was earlier obtained. After this the court approved the bail of everyone. The accused party alleges that the woman was strangling the girls after entering their house.

There has been an uproar after the video went viral on social media. All the users are strongly criticizing the accused. Commenting on the video, a user wrote that we are talking about Bangladesh, whereas mob leaching has happened in India only. A user named Bhanu Nand wrote that humanity is actually no more.
