Amrita Fadnavis herself took over the driver’s seat

During the launch of this special campaign, Amrita Fadnavis not only attended as the chief guest, but she herself took the driver’s seat and flagged off the campaign by driving an environment-friendly pink e-rickshaw. His unique style caught the attention of everyone present at the program and his pictures and videos are becoming increasingly viral on social media.

Two birds with one stone: environment and self-reliance

Expressing her happiness on this wonderful initiative, Amrita Fadnavis said that today I am very happy to participate in this program, where rickshaws were distributed to needy women. The event was organized by Bhamla Foundation. It has two major benefits: first, it is an eco-friendly e-rickshaw, resulting in zero carbon emissions in your city and second, it paves the way for self-reliance. Through this, women bring changes in their own lives.

Government scheme and NGO came together

Talking about the economic aspects of the scheme, Amrita Fadnavis said that I would like to tell that this is an existing government scheme which is already active. Under this scheme, the government provides 70% loan facility through banks to needy women; The government itself contributes 20 percent and women have to contribute the remaining 10 percent. However, in many cases, these women are unable to pay even 10% share, which is around Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000. Therefore, it is indeed commendable that NGOs have come forward and taken up the task of bridging this financial gap.

Green mobility will change the face of Mumbai

This initiative has been launched on the occasion of World Environment Day not only to promote environmental protection, but its main objective is to make women self-reliant and create new employment opportunities through green energy. During this programme, special emphasis was laid on women empowerment and pollution free transport.

On this occasion, Amrita Fadnavis praised the Pink E-Rickshaw initiative and said that this step will play a big role in making women financially independent as well as keeping a metropolis like Mumbai clean and green. With the launch of this green mobility program by Bhamla Foundation, the coming days will see a huge increase in the number of eco-friendly pink e-rickshaws driven by women drivers on the roads of Mumbai.
