Mexico City Congress Violent Video: A fight broke out between a group of female legislators in Mexico City’s Congress, and cameras were showing the fight live, which included them pulling each other’s hair and hitting each other. The clash began when a group from the right-wing National Action Party (PAN) approached the legislature’s podium to protest against a rule allegedly broken by the leftist Morena party.

According to media reports, the incident took place on December 15, 2025, when a heated session at the Local Congress of Mexico City turned into a physical clash when women legislators from opposing political parties clashed on the podium, leading to chaos inside the Legislative Chamber. The footage was captured by the Associated Press and shared widely on social media. Starts with a wide shot of the chamber. MPs can be seen sitting at their desks, looking towards the high podium of the Presiding Officer. The focus soon shifts to the podium area, which is filled with mostly female opposition MLAs from the National Action Party (PAN), who have occupied the space in protest.
In the most telling moment of the footage, one of the legislators from the ruling MORENA party was seen stepping forward and pulling the hair of a PAN protester, causing her head to be jerked back forcefully. The PAN party MLA responded by slapping and pushing, which escalated the confrontation. Elbows were thrown and bodies collided in the tight space, hair pulling, slapping and rough shoving were common as women on both sides struggled for control of the podium.
