Former Team India player and veteran batsman Vinod Kambli has been admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated. At present his condition is said to be critical. A team of doctors is engaged to take care of Kambli. Along with heart disease, Kambli is suffering from many other health problems.

According to media reports, Vinod Kambli was recently seen in a public program organized in the memory of coach Ramakant Achrekar. Suddenly a problem was seen in his health on Saturday. He fell unconscious. After which he was admitted to Aakriti Hospital in Thane, his condition is said to be stable but critical.

Vinod Kambli has been struggling with health related problems for the last few years. He had to undergo angioplasty in 2012. After this, he had a heart attack in the year 2013. Struggling with alcohol addiction, he had to go to rehabilitation several times. This affected his health. Vinod Kambli had made a historic unbroken partnership of 664 runs with Sachin at the school level. Sachin made his debut for India in November 1989 while Kambli played his first international match in 1991.
