VIDEO: After Abhishek Sharma-Shubhman Gill, Rishabh Pant also became Yuvraj Singh’s disciple, special training before IPL 2026

Rishabh Pant practising with Yuvraj Singh: There is not much time left for the start of IPL 2026 and all the franchises have started their preparations. Teams have started training camps, but Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant chose a different path to sharpen his batting before joining the camp.

Actually, Rishabh Pant approached former Indian star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh to work on his batting. Yuvraj has already improved the game of young players like Abhishek Sharma and Shubhman Gill by training them. Now Rishabh Pant’s name has also been added to the same list.

What did Rishabh Pant learn from Yuvraj Singh?

Rishabh Pant himself has shared the video of his training with Yuvraj Singh on Instagram. In the caption of this video, he wrote “Learning never stops” i.e. learning should never stop. It can be clearly seen in the video that Pant is especially working on power hitting with Yuvraj Singh. He is seen hitting big shots in the nets, which shows that he wants to further strengthen his aggressive style before IPL 2026.

Not good news for opponents of LSG

After this video of Rishabh Pant surfaced, it is not being considered as good news at all for the opponents of Lucknow Super Giants. Seeing the way Pant is seen hitting sharp shots in the video, Yuvraj Singh himself is also seen quite impressed. If Pant continues the same rhythm in IPL 2026, then difficulties may increase for the bowlers of the opposition teams. Pant, who is seen in his old style after a long time, seems to be preparing to score big.

Lessons learned from Yuvraj will be useful in IPL 2026

Rishabh Pant is the most expensive player in IPL history. Lucknow Super Giants bought him for Rs 27 crore. However, in IPL 2025, he could not perform as per his price. Last season, he scored 269 runs in 13 innings of 14 matches at a strike rate of 133.16. These included 118 unbeaten runs in one innings, while in the remaining 12 innings only 151 runs were scored from his bat.
