Mahatma Jyotiba Phule 200th birth anniversary: PM Narendra Modi today reached ‘Prerna Sthal’ located in the Parliament complex to offer floral tribute to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on the occasion of his 200th birth anniversary. During this time, the opposition leader present there was seen talking to PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh were also present.

President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President CP Radhakrishnan paid floral tributes to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his 200th birth anniversary in the Parliament complex. The President’s official account wrote in X Post, ‘President Draupadi Murmu paid floral tributes to Mahatma Jyotirao Phule on the occasion of his birth anniversary at ‘Prerna Sthal’ located at Sanvidhan Sadan. Mahatma Jyotirao Phule dedicated his entire life to the upliftment of the deprived communities. She made significant contributions to promoting women’s education, and left an indelible legacy of social reform and inclusion.’

PM Modi wrote on Twitter, ‘On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, we pay tribute to a visionary social reformer who dedicated his entire life to the ideals of equality, justice and education. He was also a pioneer in advocating the rights of women and deprived classes. Through his efforts, education became a powerful medium of empowerment. This year, we are beginning his 200th birth anniversary celebrations. May his thoughts continue to guide everyone to move forward towards social progress.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote, ‘Regards to the great social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule ji on his birth anniversary. He dedicated his entire life to protect the rights and interests of the Bahujans. His struggle against discrimination and inequality showed the country the path of equality and justice. His ideals and thoughts will always inspire us to move forward in the direction of social justice.
