The makers organized a grand event to launch the teaser of the film in Mumbai on the occasion of Vijay Day. There was no media interaction during the teaser launch. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty were also present. Sunny got emotional while speaking at the event. In fact, at the event, Sunny recited one of his most influential lines from the film: “How far should the voice go?” The audience and the cast responded by shouting, “Lahore!” Sunny repeated the same line. He got very emotional while saying that line and tried to hold back his tears.
Talking about the patriotism shown in Border 2 and how the new generation will understand it, Sunny said, “The country is our mother and the younger generation will have the same feelings. They will protect it, like their fathers and grandfathers did. That energy will remain the same. This country is our home. If anything happens to it, our blood boils.” At the event, Varun Dhawan touched Sunny Deol’s feet and took his blessings. He also mentioned his first scene with Sunny Deol.

Says Varun, “When I did my first scene with Sunny sir, where he yells ‘Hoshiar’ after my character’s name, I was a bit nervous. I didn’t tell him that.” Anurag told me, “Bro, he is Sunny Deol, so he must be acting like him.” I pinched myself because he was my childhood hero.

When will Border 2 release?
The film will release in theaters on January 23, 2026. The first part of “Border” released in 1997 is one of the biggest blockbusters of Hindi cinema. Talking about the cast of the film, apart from Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty will also be seen in pivotal roles.
