Video: Violent clash between TMC and Humayun Kabir workers amid voting, stone pelting and heavy use of sticks in Murshidabad.

AJUP and TMC workers clash : Voting is underway for the first phase of West Bengal Assembly elections from this morning. In which votes are being cast on a total of 152 seats in 16 districts. Meanwhile, violent clashes have been witnessed between workers of ruling TMC and Humayun Kabir’s party AJUP. During this, there was stone pelting from both the sides and a lot of baton usage.

Stone pelting broke out between AJUP and TMC workers in Murshidabad, following which central forces resorted to lathi charge to control the situation. According to reports, a clash broke out between TMC workers and Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AUJP) founder Humayun Kabir in Murshidabad. Humayun Kabir is visiting the area where an incident of throwing a crude bomb was reported yesterday.

It is being told that the convoy of AJUP candidate Humayun Kabir from Rezinagar was attacked by miscreants. According to eyewitnesses, a large crowd of miscreants suddenly surrounded Humayun Kabir’s car. The attackers had sticks, rods and bricks in their hands.

According to PTI, Humayun Kabir on Thursday alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress bribed several of his party’s candidates to keep them out of the election fray. Kabir, who cast his vote in the early hours after polling began, faced protests from Trinamool Congress supporters; When the leader reached a polling booth in Shivnagar village of Naoda assembly constituency in Murshidabad, supporters raised slogans of “go back”.

The protesters, led by local TMC leaders, surrounded Kabir’s vehicle and raised slogans calling him a “BJP agent”. Due to this demonstration, tension spread in the area around the polling station.
