Former captain of the Indian cricket team and superstar batsman Rohit Sharma was making a comeback in the Vijay Hazare Trophy after a long gap of almost eight years and during this time he showed that he still knows how to shine on the big stage. In the match played against Sikkim at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday, Rohit not only led Mumbai to an easy victory but also entertained thousands of spectators present on the field.

The atmosphere had become special at the very beginning of the match. Rohit batted fearlessly in the old style while making an opening partnership of 141 runs with Angkrish Raghuvanshi. The pull shots, sweeps and effortless timing thrilled the audience. He completed his century in 62 balls and 150 runs in 91 balls. By the time he was out in the 30th over, the match had completely gone in favor of Mumbai. Mumbai achieved the target in 30.3 overs.
