Vietnamese housing average per person is 26.6 meters

The per capita housing floor area had risen to 26.6 square meters last year after increasing by 14.7% in five years, a study by the General Statistics Office found.
Around 41.9% of the population lived in homes with an average floor area per person of 30 sq.m or higher.
4.1% lived in homes with eight square meters per occupant. The majority, 81.5%, lived in homes built in 2000 or later.
But 1.9% still lived in dwellings 49 years old or more.
Vietnam targets increasing the housing floor area per person to 27 sq.m this year.
