Controversy over Rakesh Bedi’s trailer launch
Desk. Actor Rakesh Bedi recently played the role of Jamil Jamali in Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’, in which his daughter is played by Sara Arjun. A video went viral at the film’s trailer launch event, in which 71-year-old Bedi was seen kissing 20-year-old Sara. After this video he started being trolled badly.

Rakesh Bedi expressed his views after people criticized the trailer launch video. He said that his and Sara’s chemistry has been portrayed in the film and such incidents have been misinterpreted. Rakesh told, ‘Sara is less than half my age and when we used to shoot, she used to hug me, like a daughter hugs her father.’

Bedi further said, ‘Kissing was only an expression of affection. People are misunderstanding it. I did not do this with any bad intention. I was on the stage in front of his parents, so it is not right to give a negative meaning to it.

He also said that people make things up on social media and he did not try to protect himself. He believes that his work speaks for him and he is not affected by this controversy.
