New Delhi: Vijay’s farewell film, Jana was Abandan’s audio launch in Malaysia turned into a massive celebration that broke records. Fans from around the world gathered in huge numbers, turning the stadium into a sea of cheers.

Vijay’s mother Shobha, ‘s surprise song performance left everyone emotional, with crowds chanting non-stop. As the actor steps into politics, this event marks his grand movie goodbye. What made it enter the Malaysia Book of Records?

Record-breaking crowd pulls

The audio launch happened at Kuala Lumpur’s National Stadium Bukit Jalil, which holds 80,000 people. A whopping 75,000 fans showed up, making it the first time a Tamil film audio event outside India drew such a big crowd, as per News 18.  This huge turnout got the event inscribed in the Malaysia Book of Records. Officials handed the certificate to Vijay on stage amid wild cheers.

Vijay’s swan song details

Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Venkat Narayanan, Jana Ready’ stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Narain, Gautham Menon, Priyamani, and Mamitha Baiju. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music. The film releases worldwide on January 9, 2026, during the Pongal festival. Fans have waited eagerly since it was announced as Vijay’s last movie before full-time politics.

Emotional ‘Thalapathy Thiruvizha’ moment

Before the main event, a special show called ‘Thalapathy Thiruvizha’ featured live versions of Vijay’s hit songs. To a big surprise, Vijay’s mother, Shobha, came on stage and sang ‘Kodambakkam Area’ from ‘Sivakasi’. The crowd went crazy, cheering loudly and chanting ‘TVK… TVK…’ nonstop. Vijay asked them to stop on the stage, which caught everyone’s eye. Security was tight, but the venue felt like a festival with fans flying in from many countries.
