A social media exchange between a young fan and actor Vijay Deverakonda has drawn attention online, just days after the his wedding with Rashmika Mandanna.
The moment began when a child posted a message asking why fans had not been invited to the couple’s wedding.
“Am I not your fan too? What about us?” the young fan wrote.
The wedding took place on February 26 in Udaipur and was attended mainly by close friends and family. But the child’s question quickly spread online and eventually reached Deverakonda himself.
The 36-year-old actor responded directly in Telugu, addressing the fan warmly and offering something different instead of a wedding invitation.
“Precious child I will invite you home for lunch. Tell me your favourite food and sweets. We will get it cooked at home and eat happily,” he wrote.
Screenshots of the exchange were widely shared on social media, with many users praising the actor for replying personally.
The wedding of the two actors proved to be much more than just the union of two superstars, as social media was buzzing for days with the talks of the bride and groom’s looks, details of the wedding functions, jewellery and other moments from the celebrations.
After the ceremony, the couple continued their celebrations with a reception in Hyderabad on March 4.
The couple also marked their marriage by distributing sweets across several Indian states and organising annadanam, the offering of meals, at temples.
After almost a week of the extended celebrations, the Arjun Reddy actor suggested the newlyweds were ready for some quiet time.
“Today, we hope to finish this celebration and go underground. Quiet,” he told photographers at the reception, prompting laughter.
