Vijay Hazare Trophy: 19 matches played on the first day, who won, who lost? know everything

The first day of Vijay Hazare Trophy was in the name of great players. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli entered this tournament after a long time and scored centuries for their respective teams and led them to victory. Bihar captain Shakibul Ghani created a sensation by scoring a brilliant century. Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan also scored an explosive century but his century was overshadowed by Karnataka’s Devdutt Padikal and Jharkhand lost the match. Karun Nair once again got the start but he could not convert this start into a big innings.

 

Jammu and Kashmir team defeated Chandigarh badly and won the match by 10 wickets. Aaqib Nabi, who was sold expensively in the IPL auction, took 2 wickets and Lone Nasir broke the back of Chandigarh by taking 4 wickets. On the other hand, Punjab captain Abhishek Sharma missed a half-century. Prithvi Shaw, playing for Maharashtra team, also scored 46 runs. On the first day, all 38 teams took the field and a total of 19 matches were played. Let us tell you that these 38 teams have been divided into a total of 5 groups. There are four groups A, B, C and D of 8 teams each and the fifth is the plate group which has a total of 6 teams.

Tamil Nadu vs Puducherry

Batting first, Tamil Nadu scored 310 runs for 7 wickets. Puducherry team was all out after scoring 209 runs.

outcome– Tamil Nadu won by 101 runs.

Madhya Pradesh vs Rajasthan

Batting first, Madhya Pradesh had scored 287 runs for 5 wickets but Rajasthan team was all out for just 188 runs.

outcome- Madhya Pradesh won by 99 runs.

 

Jharkhand vs Karnataka

Thanks to Ishan Kishan’s brilliant century, Jharkhand had scored 412 runs after losing 9 wickets. In reply, Karnataka team batted brilliantly and won the match in the 48th over.

Result- Karnataka won by 5 wickets.

 

Kerala vs Tripura

Kerala team had scored 348 runs losing 8 wickets. In reply, Tripura team was all out for just 203 runs.

outcome- Kerala won by 145 runs.

Chandigarh vs Jammu Kashmir

Chandigarh batted first but could score only 208 runs. In reply, Jammu and Kashmir scored 209 runs without losing any wicket.

outcome- Jammu and Kashmir won by 10 wickets.

 

Assam vs Baroda

Batting first, Assam team was able to score 282 runs. Baroda team achieved this target in the 48th over after losing 5 wickets.

outcome– Baroda won by 5 wickets.

 

Uttar Pradesh vs Hyderabad

Batting first, Uttar Pradesh scored 324 runs losing 5 wickets. In reply, Hyderabad team was all out for 240 runs in 43 overs.

outcome- Uttar Pradesh team won by 84 runs.

 

vidarbha vs bengal

Vidarbha team had scored 382 runs losing 5 wickets. Bengal team won this exciting match by three wickets with 7 balls remaining.

outcome- Bengal won by 3 wickets.

Sikkim vs Mumbai

Sikkim team could score only 236 runs in 50 overs. Mumbai won the match by 8 wickets thanks to Rohit Sharma’s brilliant century.

outcome- Mumbai won by 8 wickets.

 

Himachal Pradesh vs Uttarakhand

Himachal Pradesh had scored 259 runs but Uttarakhand was all out for only 164 runs.

outcome- Himachal Pradesh won by 95 runs.

 

Chhattisgarh vs Goa

Batting first, Chhattisgarh had scored 233 runs. Goa team batted well and achieved this target in the 45th over.

outcome- Goa won by 6 wickets.

punjab vs maharashtra

Batting first, Punjab had scored 347 runs. In reply, Maharashtra team could score only 296 runs after losing 8 wickets.

outcome- Punjab won by 51 runs.

 

Odisha vs Saurashtra

Batting first, Odisha scored 345 runs losing 6 wickets. Saurashtra achieved this target in the 49th over.

outcome- Saurashtra won by 5 wickets.

 

Haryana vs Railways

Haryana had scored only 267 runs after losing 9 wickets. The Railways team achieved this target in the 44th over by losing only 4 wickets.

outcome- Railways won by 8 wickets.

 

Andhra Pradesh vs Delhi

Andhra Pradesh batted well and scored 298 runs. However, the Delhi team, adorned with stars like Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, won the match in the 38th over by losing only 4 wickets.

Services vs Gujarat

The Services team was all out on a score of just 184 runs. Gujarat team achieved this target by losing only 2 wickets.

outcome- Gujarat won by 8 wickets.

 

Bihar vs Arunachal Pradesh

In the Plate Group, Bihar created history today and batting first scored a mountain of 574 runs, which is the highest score of any team in List A. In response, Arunachal Pradesh team was all out for 177 runs.

outcome- Bihar won by 397 runs.

 

Nagaland vs Manipur

Batting first, Nagaland had scored 236 runs. Manipur team finally achieved this score on the 5th ball of the over.

outcome- Manipur won by 1 wicket.

 

Meghalaya vs Mizoram

In this match, Meghalaya batted first and scored 291 runs. In reply, Mizoram team was all out for 212 runs.

outcome- Meghalaya won by 79 runs.
