Dhruv Shauri made history : Vidarbha’s reliable batsman Dhruv Shorey organized by BCCI Vijay Hazare TrophyCreated history by scoring a brilliant century against Hyderabad in With his century against Hyderabad, he became the joint first player to score the most consecutive centuries in List A cricket. With an unbeaten 109 off 77 balls, Shorey equaled the record for most consecutive centuries in List A cricket. Earlier this record was held only by Narayan Jagadeesan.

Coming in to bat at number three, Shorey made the most of a strong opening partnership of 148 runs between Aman Mokhade and Yash Rathore. In his restrained and aggressive innings, Shourie hit nine fours and three sixes. Due to which Vidarbha reached a huge score of 365/5 while batting first. This was his eighth century in List A cricket.

of 2024-25 Vijay Hazare TrophyFrom the knock-out matches of Last season, he scored back-to-back centuries in the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Along with Karun Nair, Shourie played a key role in Vidarbha reaching the finals. In that season he scored 494 runs in eight innings at an average of 70.47 and a strike rate of 92.68 and was the team’s second highest run-getter.

Shourie has had a great start to this season as well. He scored 136 off 125 balls against Bengal. Notably, Jagadeesan scored five consecutive centuries in the 2022–23 season, scoring a record 277 runs against Arunachal Pradesh. This is the highest individual score in List A cricket.

This prestigious list also includes legends like Devdutt Padikkal, Kumar Sangakkara and Alviro Pietersen who have scored four centuries in a row. Sangakkara is the only batsman to score consecutive centuries in international cricket and Shorey’s performance is considered a major milestone not only for Vidarbha but also for Indian domestic cricket.
