If reports are to be believed, Kohli will now take a short break for the New Year and may be available for the match against Railways in Aloor on 6 January 2026. Delhi team will play 3 matches before this.

The team will play matches against Saurashtra on 29th December, against Odisha on 31st December and against Services on 3rd January, in which Virat’s absence is almost certain. But, the final decision on the match to be played against Railways on January 6 will depend on the schedule of the India-New Zealand series and the camp to be organized for it.

Virat Kohli performed brilliantly

Virat Kohli has performed brilliantly in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025. Virat batted stormily in the match played against Andhra and scored a century. Virat had scored 131 runs in that match. Whereas, in the second match played against Gujarat, Kohli missed a century and returned to the pavilion after scoring 77 runs.
