Ranchi, 24 December. On the very first day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy one-day tournament, in the plate group match against Arunachal Pradesh, a flurry of records were created amidst the stormy centuries from the bats of teenage opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi and captain Saqibul Ghani.
In Bihar’s innings, opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who came to bat first at JSCA Oval Ground, became the youngest batsman in the world to score the fastest 150 runs in List ‘A’ cricket by scoring 190 runs (84 balls, 15 sixes, 16 fours), while captain Saqibul became the world’s third fastest batsman in List ‘A’ with his unbeaten innings of 128 runs (40 balls, 12 sixes, 10 fours). Bihar made the list ,A, highest score of cricket
With the strikes of Suryavanshi, Saqibul and Ayush Loharuka (116 runs, 56 balls, eight sixes, 11 fours) and Piyush Singh (77 runs, 66 balls, two sixes, seven fours), they scored a mountain of 574 runs for six wickets in 50 overs, which is the highest score of any team in List ‘A’. Earlier this record was in the name of Tamil Nadu, which had scored 502 runs for two wickets against Arunachal Pradesh.

Apart from Tamil Nadu and Bihar, no other team has been able to score 500 runs in 50 overs cricket. In front of the huge target, Arunachal Pradesh team was all out for 177 runs in 42.1 overs and had to taste a big defeat of 397 runs.

Talking about records, Saqibul, who came to bat at fifth position, completed his century in just 32 balls with the help of nine fours and nine sixes. This is 26-year-old Saqibul’s third century in List A cricket. This is also the third fastest century in List A cricket history. In this matter, South Australian Jack Fraser McGurk is at number one, who scored a century in 29 balls against Tasmania. At the second position, current South African legend AB de Villiers had scored a century for South Africa against West Indies in 31 balls.

World’s fastest batsman to score 150 runs, surpassing De Villiers
After completing his century in just 36 balls, Vaibhav did not stop but he completed his 150 runs in just 59 balls, which is the fastest 150 so far in List ‘A’ cricket. Earlier this world record was in the name of De Villiers (64 balls, 2014). Englishman Jos Buttler (65 balls, 2022) is at third place in this list.
Missed double century, but made a big milestone
Vaibhav, who scored his first century in his seventh match of List ‘A’ cricket, was very close to creating history, but he was out after scoring 190 runs in 84 balls and missed out on scoring the fastest double century. He hit a total of 15 sixes in this innings. He is now just behind Rohit Sharma (16) and Rituraj Gaikwad (16) in the list of Indians who have hit the most number of sixes in an innings.

List ,ASuryavanshi became the youngest cricketer to score a century in cricket.
‘Player of the Match’ Suryavanshi has also become the youngest player in the world to score a century in the history of List ‘A’ cricket. Vaibhav created this history at the age of 14 years 272 days. This record was made 39 years ago by Zahoor Elahi against Railways in 1986 at the age of just 15 years and 209 days.
