Actor Vijay has appeared in public with actor Trisha Krishnan, just days after reports emerged that his wife Sankgeetha has filed for divorce in Chennai.
The two actors were seen attending the wedding reception of AGS producer Kalpathi Suresh’s son.
Pictures and videos from the event quickly spread on social media, drawing fresh attention to their appearance together.
The Leo 2 pair arrived at the reception together. The 51-year-old actor carried a bouquet while Trisha greeted guests warmly, hugging some and shaking hands with others.
They walked together to the stage to congratulate the newly married couple, posed for photos, and were also seen leaving the venue around the same time.
Their coordinated outfits also caught attention. He wore a beige shirt with a matching dhoti, while the 42-year-old actress chose a beige and golden saree with a red blouse.
Online reactions were quick and emotional. One person wrote, “Until now I thought they were just rumours… but now it might be official.”
Another comment said, “Hard launch like Keneesha and Jayam Ravi. Okay, now that it’s out in the open, congratulations to Vijay. However, hope he agrees to a mutual divorce and settles the wife and children before moving on. They deserve closure.”
The public sighting comes after Sankgeetha filed a divorce petition in a family court in Chennai.
In the filing, she alleged that the Ghilli star had been involved in an “adulterous relationship” with a female actor since 2021.
Vijay and Sankgeetha married in the late 1990s and have two children. Meanwhile, Vijay is preparing for the release of his film Jana Supervisorwhich he has said will be his last before entering politics with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
