Vijay Thalapathy’s first rally after the Karur stampede, made a scathing attack on the government by calling it an ‘evil force’
Tamil superstar and head of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) Vijay Thalapathy Addressed a huge rally (Vijay Thalapathy Rally) on Thursday. During this, he fiercely attacked the ruling DMK government. Vijay termed DMK as ‘evil force’,
Whereas he described his party as ‘pure and clean power’. Regarding the upcoming assembly elections, he said that this election is going to be different and the public will answer to the government.
Questions raised on the policies of the state government
At the rally, Vijay Thalapathy raised questions on the policies of the state government and said, “How many false promises were made like NEET ban and education loan waiver?” During this, he also made allegations of corruption and said that the government fixed the rates of sugarcane and paddy, but no concrete steps were taken regarding the price of turmeric (Vijay Thalapathy Rally).
He alleged that tenders worth crores were floated for research institutes, but issues related to irrigation, jobs, security and farmer welfare remained ignored. Raising questions, he said why appointments were not made to the vacant posts? Apart from this, the government was also surrounded on the issue of students leaving school and safety of women.

In his rally, Vijay took a sharp jibe at DMK, calling it a party with ‘problems that stick like Fevicol’. He said that DMK is looting the public by using Periyar’s name. Referring to MGR and Jayalalitha, Vijay said, “Earlier I could not understand why MGR and Jayalalitha were so strict on DMK, but now it is clear that DMK is an evil force.” He also called DMK his “political and ideological enemy” (Vijay Thalapathy Rally).
34 years old relationship with the public
At the rally, Vijay praised his party and described Erode as an ‘auspicious land’ as turmeric is grown here and is used in any auspicious beginning. He narrated the story of Kalingarayan Canal, in which a mother had collected money by selling curd and milk.
Vijay said that he has a 34-year old relationship with the public and people will never leave him alone. At the rally he asked the crowd, “People will stand with me, right?” And then said that he will remain grateful throughout his life for the public’s support.
