This was done under the leadership of former State Secretary Chhatra Manch/Apna Dal S Ravindra Singh Yadav regarding the electricity problem in West Tola village of Telgudwa of Kota Gram Panchayat of Development Block Chopan. It is noteworthy that since independence till today, the government has not been able to provide electricity in this village, due to which there is anger among the local people. Due to which the local people have informed all the officials of the district including the State Minister/MLA about this problem but till now the problem has not been solved.
Angered by this, the local tribals demonstrated fiercely. The protesters say that if public representatives and officials do not solve their problems in time, this movement can take a larger form. In this sequence, Apna Dal SK Ravindra Singh Yadav said that he will not let the image of the government get tarnished and will continue to fight on the platform to ensure that every scheme of the government reaches the public. In the same sequence, Pankaj Yadav said that injustice and exploitation of tribals will not be tolerated and there will be continuous struggle for their problems.
Let us tell you that there is Obra Thermal Power Plant nearby from where electricity is generated and sent to other districts but it is not able to provide electricity to the people of tribal community living in the district. The tribals here often fall ill due to the pollution emanating from the factory, yet electricity is not being provided to them. It is unfortunate that the house of the Minister of State for Social Welfare is also just 5 kilometers away from their village but he too is not able to work on their problems.
If the officials do not solve the problem in time, then this movement will extend from the district to Lucknow and electricity will be provided to the tribals under any circumstances. The protesters have drawn the attention of the concerned department officials including the District Magistrate and demanded immediate electrification. Mainly people like Vijay Kumar, Teju Ram, Vanshraj, Guddu, Lalman, Bali Ram, Brij Dev Muni, Omprakash, Bhola Jhigai, Uttam, Munna, Chhotelal, Ramvilas, Shivkumar, Lalji Sonu Gupta, Suresh, Mohan Lal, Chandra, Bhola, Uttam, Rampyari Vishwanath, Laxman Santosh Ropar, Uttam Ramesh Senapati etc. participated in the demonstration.
