On the allegations of Olympic bronze medalist former wrestler Sakshi Malik, Congress MLA from Julana Vinesh Phogat said that if raising voice for sisters is greed, then it is greedy and it is good too. Vinesh told a news agency, “What are we greedy for? You should ask him only. If raising voice for sisters is greed, then I am greedy and that is good too. If the temptation is to bring an Olympic medal for the country, then it is good.” He further said, “I fought for a good cause. The fight is still going on. This fight will continue until the culprit is punished.”
Let us tell you that Sakshi Malik has mentioned her career and struggles in her recently released book 'Witness'. Sakshi claimed that last year Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia's decision to opt out of the Asian Games trials affected the image of her and other wrestlers due to the protests. Apart from this, Sakshi Malik has claimed in an interview that Babita Phogat had instigated the wrestlers because she was greedy for Brij Bhushan's post.
Sakshi Malik said, “We were given permission to protest by two leaders of Haryana BJP, who are Babita Phogat and Tirtha Rana. Babita had approached us because she was greedy to get the post of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. We also thought that if Babita Phogat gets the post, something good will happen, but we did not know that she will play such a big game with us.”
