VinFast To Launch 3 Electric Scooters In India
VinFast is one of the youngest automobile brands to enter the Indian market. While it is a huge brand in Vietnam, it currently only has the VF6 and VF7 EVs in its portfolio in India. We have now come across reports suggesting that things are about to change soon. VinFast not only makes cars but also has a presence in the two-wheeler and heavy vehicle segments. The company has now revealed that it is planning to launch not one but three electric scooters in India.
AutoCarIndia has also reported that VinFast confirmed the same, and it will be launching the Evo, Feliz, and Viper scooters in the market. The company also mentioned that these products would be customised for Indian conditions. The three models that VinFast currently plans to launch will initially be sold as CKD units.
Depending on the market response, the company may also start manufacturing them locally. For this, VinFast has already signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government for the allocation of 200 hectares of land at the SIPCOT Industrial Park in Thoothukudi.

The VinFast Evo is expected to be the entry-level model in VinFast’s two-wheeler lineup. It is an affordable, commuter-focused electric scooter. The overall design of this scooter is similar to what we usually see on our roads. It is offered with 12-inch wheels, a 2.4 kWh battery pack, and an electric motor mounted on the hub. The scooter weighs around 110 kg and, when launched, will compete with the likes of the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather Rizta in the segment. The Evo costs around 22,800,000 VND, which translates to approximately Rs 81,204 in India.

Feliz is the next scooter on this list. This is a more modern-looking scooter with tall 14-inch wheels. The scooter’s design is similar to what we see in Thailand and many other Southeast Asian markets. The Feliz comes with a 3 kWh battery pack and is expected to offer a claimed riding range of around 150 km. The price of the Feliz scooter in India is around Rs 95,000 when converted.

The most expensive scooter among the three is going to be the Viper. It will feature the same large-wheel, Asian-style scooter design but with sportier design elements, including a wide apron and a sleek LED headlamp setup. It looks bulkier than the other two and is powered by a larger 4.8 kWh battery pack. The scooter can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h, and it appears to offer a similar claimed range as the Feliz. This scooter is expected to cost around Rs 1.63 lakh.
Apart from these three models, VinFast also has plans to expand its two-wheeler lineup in India. In addition to manufacturing these scooters locally, the company is also working on new models specifically for the Indian market. At the moment, there is no clarity on when these new scooters will be launched.
VinFast, however, aims to start its two-wheeler operations in the Indian market in 2026, and the above-mentioned three models are likely to be the first ones to be launched.
