VinFast VF 6 electric SUV to be launched in India by September 2025
Delhi Delhi. The compact electric SUV VinFast VF 6 was officially launched in the Indian market at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This marks the Vietnamese automaker's strategic entry into the fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) segment in India. Featuring a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration, the VF 6 promises an impressive range of up to 399 kilometers as per WLTP standard. The VF 6 stands out with its bold, futuristic design. At the front there is a wide LED light strip, which seamlessly integrates with the vehicle's headlights.
There's a charging port in the driver's side fender, and dual-tone alloy wheels add a touch of sophistication. The rear of the vehicle mirrors the front with full-width LED taillights, giving a consistent and modern look. This electric SUV is designed to attract those who want both style and practicality. Inside, the VinFast VF 6 offers a premium feel with a dark gray and black color scheme. The dashboard and door panels are adorned with soft-touch materials, which enhance the entire cabin experience. The VF 6 is designed to accommodate five passengers, making it ideal for small families or groups. The vehicle is equipped with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and both heated and ventilated front seats.
The head-up display provides essential driving information without the need to look away from the road. Safety features include multiple airbags, 360-degree camera system and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with Level 2 capabilities, ensuring a safe driving experience. Under the hood, the VF 6 is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of up to 410 kilometers internationally. The VinFast VF 6 is expected to arrive in the Indian market by September 2025. With a starting price of around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), the VF6 is positioned as a competitive option in the electric SUV segment. The price reflects the vehicle's advanced features and long-range capabilities, making it an attractive option for Indian consumers looking to switch to electric mobility.
