FIFA Best Player of the Year Award announced, Vinicius Junior and Aitana Bonamati created history

dohaThis time the FIFA Best Player of the Year award went to Brazil and Spain. Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has been named the best male player of the year at the FIFA 'The Best' awards. While Barcelona's Aitana Bonamati won the award in the women's category. Manchester City's Rodri won the Ballon d'Or in October, beating 24-year-old Vinicius. The special thing is that in protest against this, Vinicius and the Madrid team did not participate in the awards ceremony in Paris.

This time Rodri lagged behind Vinicius by five points. Brazilian forward Vinicius had arrived at the FIFA ceremony to receive the award. He said in Portuguese that I don't know where to start. I didn't think I would be able to reach this far. I used to play street football barefoot in the streets of São Gonçalo, notorious for poverty and crime. He further said that reaching here is very important for me. I want to be an inspiration to kids who think everything is impossible.

Spain midfielder Bonamati won the award after winning the Ballon d'Or two years in a row. This is his big achievement. On his victory, he said that as I always say, it was achieved through team efforts. This year has been wonderful. I thank my club, fellow players and everyone.

Vinicius Junior was born on 12 July 2000 in Brazil. Vinicius Jr.'s football career began in 2006. Coming from a poor Catholic family, Vinícius made his debut for Flamengo on 13 May 2017 as an 82nd-minute substitute in a Brazilian Serie A 1–1 draw against Atlético Mineiro. While achieving many achievements till date, he has not looked back.

Aitana Bonmati was born on 18 January 1998 in Vilanova i la Geltrú, capital of the Garraf comarca of Catalonia. Professional footballer Aitana Bonamati of Spain won several major club and individual awards until 2023. She is considered one of the best players in women's football. Bonmati has been practicing since the age of 7 and today she achieved this feat.
