BJP has presented a mix of experienced leaders and new faces for its quota of seats. The biggest name in this list is the National General Secretary of BJP. Vinod Tawde Who will now play a more active role in Delhi politics.

The four names announced by BJP from Maharashtra are as follows:

Vinod Tawde: National General Secretary of the party and a powerful Maratha leader. By sending Tawde to Rajya Sabha, the party has expressed confidence in his organizational skills.

Ramdas Athawale: Union minister and RPI(A) chief. BJP has once again solved the Dalit equations by giving Rajya Sabha ticket to its ally leader.

Maya Ivnate: Former mayor of Nagpur and current corporator. By giving ticket to Maya Ivanate, the party has promoted women and tribal representation.

Ramrao Wadkute: Influential leader of Dhangar community and former member of the Legislative Council. By making him a candidate, BJP has tried to tap the OBC vote bank.

Voting date: 16 March 2026 (9 am to 4 pm).
