Violence flares up again in Manipur, attack on houses of 3 ministers and 6 MLAs, curfew in 5 districts..

Violence erupted in the state within hours of bodies of six missing persons being found in a river in Jiribam district. The protesters attacked the houses of six MLAs, including three ministers. After this, the state government has imposed curfew in five districts. Also, internet service has been stopped in some parts of the state. Some officials have informed that the situation in the state has worsened.

Angry protesters (manipur violence) have attacked the houses of MLAs. Chief Minister N. Biren Singh's son-in-law's house is also included. The violent mob set fire to the houses of the MLAs. Security forces had to use tear gas to disperse the protesters. Bodies of two women and a girl, who were missing since Monday, were found in the Barak river in Jiribam on Saturday. The bodies of the other three were found on Friday night. The bodies were sent to Silchar Medical College in Assam for post-mortem.

The ministers whose houses were targeted by the protesters included Health and Family Welfare Minister Sapam Ranjan, Public Distribution Minister L. Susindro Singh and Urban Development Minister Y. Khemchand's houses are included. In view of the outbreak of violence, the state government has imposed curfew in Imphal East and West, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kuching districts.
