It can be seen in the video that despite Gambhir being present in front, Kohli maintained distance from him and moved ahead without making eye contact. After this video surfaced, fans have once again started making various speculations. Many people believe that everything is not going well inside the team. Fans say, something is definitely wrong.
Sitanshu Kotak gave clarification
India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak had already given a statement regarding Kohli and Gambhir. He had said that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are actively working on India’s long-term ODI strategy along with preparations for next year’s World Cup.

Kotak said, “Most of the time I am present there and if I can listen, they share their experiences. I often see them interacting with each other. There are many things going on on social media, which I avoid seeing. In my view, the environment is very positive.”
Team India’s future strategy
For the last few months, there has been constant speculation about the coordination between Kohli, Rohit and the new coaching setup. Kotak also said that after the T20 World Cup ends in March, India will have to rework their ODI batting, especially keeping in mind the new ball rule that will come into effect after the 34th over.

He told that under the changed rules, the team bowling between 35th and 50th over will be able to choose one of the two balls. Kotak said, “After the T20 World Cup, the number of ODI matches will increase. We will have to prepare our strategy keeping this new rule in mind, because only one ball will be used after the 34th over.”
