Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma Visit Premanand Maharaj Upon Return To India

Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, actor and producer Anushka Sharma, recently visited renowned spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj at his ashram, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj, located at Varah Ghat in Vrindavan. The visit took place shortly after the couple returned to India from the United Kingdom.

A video from the visit, now widely shared on social media, shows the couple engaged in a spiritual discussion (Ekantik Vartalaap) with Premanand Ji Maharaj. The clip was shared by Bhajan Marg’s official Instagram handle and has since garnered significant attention.

During the interaction, Premanand Ji Maharaj advised the couple to view their professional responsibilities as a form of devotion. He emphasized the importance of humility, sincerity, and prayer in daily life, encouraging them to remain grounded while continuing their respective journeys.

This marks Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s third visit to Vrindavan in 2025. Earlier in the year, they had also visited the ashram along with their children, Vamika and Akaay, seeking blessings. Notably, the couple paid a visit soon after Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket in May 2025.

While Kohli has stepped away from the longest format of the game, he remains active in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is set to represent Delhi in select matches of the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on December 24. Following that, Kohli is expected to rejoin the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, starting January 11, 2026.

The 37-year-old last featured in India’s ODI series against South Africa, which concluded on December 6, after which he returned to the UK, where the family is currently based.

Kohli and Sharma’s continued spiritual engagements reflect their shared commitment to mindfulness, balance, and personal growth alongside demanding professional lives.
