VHT 2025: Virat Kohli’s milestone in List-A cricket, entry in this special club of Sachin Tendulkar

Virat Kohli 16000 Runs in List A Cricket: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli made a big record in his name by returning to Vijay Hazare Trophy after a long time. Kohli, who played the first match for Delhi against Andhra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, created history as soon as he stepped on the field. As soon as he came to bat at the BCCI Center of Excellence Ground-1, he completed his 16,000 runs in List-A cricket by hitting a four.

Delhi’s first wicket fell at the team’s score of just one run, after which Virat Kohli reached the crease. The special thing was that to reach this achievement, he needed only one run, which he completed on the very first ball.

Virat joins Sachin Tendulkar’s special club

After completing 16 thousand runs in List-A cricket, Virat Kohli became the second batsman from India to achieve this milestone. Earlier this record was only in the name of Sachin Tendulkar, who had scored 21,999 runs in List-A cricket. Not only this, Virat Kohli has become only the ninth batsman in the world to score 16,000 or more runs in List-A cricket. In this way, King Kohli has further strengthened his place in the list of international greats.

Andhra set a target of 299 runs for Delhi

Talking about the match, Delhi captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Andhra team scored 298 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Ricky Bhui played a brilliant century and scored 122 runs for Andhra. For Delhi, Simarjit Singh bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets, while Prince Yadav took 3 wickets.
