Kohli tried to play the shot over mid-off. The ball bounced a little more than Kohli expected, hit the top edge of the bat and went in the air towards Raj Bawa. He took a brilliant catch while diving forward and dismissed Kohli. After this the Mumbai players jumped with joy.

Out on ‘duck’ for the second time

Kohli has been out on ‘duck’ for the second consecutive time in IPL 2026. Earlier, Kohli could not score any runs even against Lucknow Super Giants on Thursday. Kohli faced only two balls in that match; Prince Yadav bowled him out. This is the second time in his career that Virat Kohli has been out on a score of zero in two consecutive innings of IPL. Earlier this happened in the 2022 season, when he was out for zero in the matches against LSG and SRH.
