Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar Fire As RCB Crush LSG By 5 Wickets
A solid knock from Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar has secured a dominating victory for RCB in the IPL 2026 game against LSG at Bengaluru.
Virat Kohli (49) and Rajat Patidar (27) have powered RCB’s easy win in Wednesday’s clash. By this win, they retained the top spot in the IPL 2026 points table.
After being invited to bat first, Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.
Rasik Salam Dar bagged the first wicket for RCB, dismissing Aiden Markram for 12 runs. Rishabh Pant, who came to bat at No.3, got hurt in his left elbow during the 5th over delivered by Josh Hazlewood.
He was retired hurt and went back to dug out. With Pooran and Mitchell Marsh at crease, Lucknow Super Giants scored 35 runs in the powerplay.
With Josh Hazlewood bagged the wicket of Nicholas Pooran for 1 run, Krunal Pandya further inflicted damage to LSG’s batting line up dismissing Mitchell Marsh and Abdul Samad for 40 and duck respectively.
He completed his 4 over spell conceding 38 runs for two wickets at an economy of 9.50. He also completed his 100th wicket in the IPL in 147 games he played and has an economy of 7.52. He has also entered into purple cap race with a total of 7 wickets in 5 games.
Rasikh Salam Dar bagged his second wicket dismissing Ayush Badoni for 38 runs. George Linde who came to bat as an impact player, got dismissed for 7 runs by Bhuvenshwar Kumar.
He bagged his third wicket as Shami got bowled out for duck. Rasikh Salam Dar who came to deliver the final over, bagged the wickets of Mukul Choudhary and Avesh Khan for 39 and 1 runs as LSG lost all 10 wickets for 146 runs.

Chasing 147 run target, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli opened the innings while Mohammed Shami opened the bowling attack.
Prince Yadav bagged his first wicket dismissing Phil Salt for 7 runs. Devdutt Padikkal who came to bat at No.3, joined Virat Kohli to post 60 runs in the powerplay.
With the dismissal of Padikkal for 10 runs, Virat Kohli also lost his wicket to Avesh Khan and narrowly missed his fifty. He scored 49 runs off 34 deliveries which included 6 fours and 1 six.
With Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma forging a partnership, Prince Yadav picked the wickets of the duo in the 13th over.
Tim David and Romario Shepherd came to bat and completed the chase in the 16th over. Both scored 14 runs off 8 deliveries. Prince Yadav Picked three wickets while Avesh Khan bagged two wickets for LSG.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play their next game against Delhi Capitals on April 18 at Bengaluru.
