Virat Kohli statement: ‘Swelling in the knee since many days…’ Despite scoring 49 runs, Kohli is unhappy, told what is the pain

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 5 wickets at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this match, Kohli came as an impact player and played an important role in the team’s victory by scoring 49 runs on 34 balls. The special thing was that for the first time in his career, Kohli was used as an impact player.

I am not completely fit: Kohli
After the match, Kohli himself revealed that he is not completely fit yet. He told that he had pain in his knee in the last match and was not well for the last 4-5 days. He said, ‘I am feeling better than before, but am not 100% fit yet. Slowly getting back into my rhythm.

Kohli had a fast start
In this match, Kohli made a fast start and scored 34 runs in just 14 balls. However, later due to the slow pitch, his run speed decreased slightly. Kohli admitted that the team’s strategy was to score as many runs as possible in the powerplay, as it was not easy to bat later on the pitch.

‘The pitch had become very slow’
He told that there has been very hot and dry weather in Bengaluru for the last few days, due to which the pitch has become slower than usual. In such a situation, the team had made a plan to take control of the match in the beginning itself, in which they were successful. With this inning, Kohli also won the Orange Cap. So far, he has become the highest run-scorer in the tournament by scoring 228 runs.

Team captain Rajat Patidar is also in great form. He put the team in a strong position by scoring 27 runs in 13 balls. Kohli jokingly said that Patidar assesses the condition of the bowlers and not the pitch.

Kohli also praised the team’s batting depth. He said that the team has aggressive players like Phil Salt, Romario Shepherd and Tim David, which would give freedom to the rest of the batsmen to play freely. In the end, Kohli said that even though T20 cricket is changing rapidly, the importance of smart cricket still remains. He believes that the pressure will increase in the second half of the tournament and only that team will advance which will be able to adapt itself to the conditions.
