Virat and RCB played with full seriousness on the field. Captain Rajat Patidar batted brilliantly and scored unbeaten 93 runs and took the team to a big score. He hit 9 sixes and 5 fours in his innings. Especially Kulwant Khejroliya completely changed the course of the match by scoring 28 runs in one over.
Batting first, RCB scored 254 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya also made important contributions of 43-43 runs. Jason Holder took 2 wickets for Gujarat, but the rest of the bowlers proved to be very expensive.
