Virat Kohli visited Simhachalam temple with his family, Washington Sundar also reached, watch video

Virat Kohli in Simhachalam Temple: Indian cricket team’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli reached the famous Simhachalam temple in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, where he visited with his family and Team India all-rounder Washington Sundar. In the video of about 2 minutes 36 seconds, Virat is seen participating in traditional worship. During this, he was seen following the special religious ritual Kappasthambham Alinganam, i.e. the ritual of embracing the sacred pillar.

Anushka and children are not seen in the video

The temple administration said that Virat Kohli had arrived with his entire family for darshan, but Anushka Sharma and children were nowhere to be seen in the photos and videos released. It was told that this visit was completely religious and personal. Virat appeared in excellent form in the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa. He scored two centuries in the three-match series and scored 302 runs at an average of 151.00. In the third ODI, Kohli scored an unbeaten 66 runs and made an important contribution in helping India win by 9 wickets.

Veda blessing and honor ceremony held in the temple

After the darshan, the temple priests honored Virat Kohli and Washington Sundar with blessings of Veda mantras. Amidst the sacred sound of Nadhaswaram, he was presented with the sacred temple clothes, the picture of the Lord and Prasad. There was a lot of curiosity among the devotees due to the presence of both the players in the temple premises.

Virat was seen on religious trips many times before

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are often seen visiting religious places. On May 25 this year, both of them reached Ayodhya, where they had darshan of Ramlala at 7 in the morning and were present in the sanctum sanctorum for about 10 minutes. After this he also went to Hanumangarhi temple, where he offered prayers for about 20 minutes. During that time also the temple administration honored him by garlanding him.

Met Premanand Maharaj after Test retirement

After announcing his retirement from Test format, Virat Kohli’s inclination towards spirituality has increased further. He reached Vrindavan for the third time on 13 May, where he met Premanand Maharaj. Even before this he had come here on 4 January 2023 and 10 January 2025. Virat and Anushka spent about two and a half hours at the ashram and had a spiritual conversation with Maharaj for about 15 minutes.
