In 2019, while talking about his son, Sehwag had said that there is no pressure on him to become a cricketer.
Sehwag had said, “I don't want to see another Virender Sehwag in them. He can become Virat Kohli or Hardik Pandya or MS Dhoni. But he doesn't need to be a cricketer. They are free to choose their career and we will help them move forward as much as possible. But the main thing is that they should be good human beings. There can be no compromise on this.”
Sehwag had also revealed last year that his son is already looking to get an IPL contract. “My son is 15 years old and is already working hard to get a chance to play in the IPL,” he said on Star Sports.
