Visakhapatnam T20: Indian women’s team restricted Sri Lanka to the score of 128 runs

Visakhapatnam. On the basis of excellent performance by the fielders along with Vaishnavi Sharma and Sricharani (two wickets each), the Indian women’s team restricted Sri Lanka to 128 for nine wickets in the second T20 match on Tuesday. Here today the Indian women’s team won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Sri Lanka, who came to bat, did not have a good start and lost the wicket of Vishmi Gunaratne (one) in the very first over. Vishmi was caught out by Kranti Gaud on her own ball. After this, Hasini Perera, who came to bat, tried to handle the innings along with captain Chamri Atapattu. Sneh Rana ended this partnership by dismissing Chamri Atapattu in the sixth over. Chamari Atapattu played an inning of 33 runs in 24 balls, hitting three fours and two sixes. After this, Sricharani sent Hasini Perera (22) out to the pavilion by getting caught on her own ball.

Harshitha Samarawickrama was run out (33) in 32 balls with the help of four fours. After this, the Indian bowlers and fielders did not allow any Sri Lankan batsman to survive in the last overs. Kavisha Dilhari (14) was dismissed by Sricharani. Kaushini Nutyangana (11) and Neelakshi de Silva (two) were out after scoring runs. In front of the Indian bowling attack, the Sri Lankan team could score only 128 runs for nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For India, Sricharani and Vaishnavi Sharma took two wickets each. Kranti Gaud and Sneh Rana dismissed one batsman each.
