Vishal Bharadwaj recently got candid about his latest film, O’Romeoand why he’s so proud of it despite the mixed reviews.
In an interview with PTIthe director stated, “This is going to be one of my most successful films. I need to say this to break the hearts of critics who panned the film.”
He continued, “No matter what they felt, this is going to be the most successful film of my life.”
Furthermore, he added, “I am so proud of this film. I am not ashamed of it at all. I am so happy. I am so proud of the violence-and-love story I’ve created.”
In six days, the film earned Rs 49.41 crore domestically, with a worldwide total of Rs 75.80 crore. While it hasn’t matched Shahid’s Kabir Singhit has already crossed the lifetime collection of his previous film, Deva.
The cast also includes Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Vikrant Massey, in addition to Shahid and Triptii. The film hit theatres on February 13 but couldn’t draw big numbers despite the Valentine’s weekend.
