Vishal scotches rumours about his health
Ahead of the release of the long-delayed Madha Gaja Rajaactor Vishal clarified about the rumours surrounding his health after he was seen unwell in a pre-release event held days ago.
Vishal addressed the press on Saturday during the premiere show of the film and rubbished all the reports that circulated on the internet stating the actor is under a serious health issue and will not be acting in films for three to six months.
Denying all such rumours, the actor even jokingly showed in front of the camera that his hands don’t shiver anymore. He went on to thank his father for his support and his fans’ love and said he will remain grateful to them forever.
According to reports, a theatrical release has evaded Madha Gaja Raja since 2013 due to multiple reasons, such as financial restraints, clashes with other films, and legal hurdles. It is worth noting that the BTS video of the song ‘My Dear Loveru‘ from the film, featuring Vishal and music composer Vijay Antony, was released in 2013 and went viral online.
The star-studded ensemble of the film features Vishal, Santhanam, Anjali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sathish, Sonu Sood, the late Mayilsamy, and the late Manobala, among others. Madha Gaja Rajaproduced by Gemini Film Circuit, is written by Sundar C along with Venkat Raghavan, while cinematographer Richard M Nathan, editors Praveen KL and NB Srikanth, and composer Vijay Antony are part of the technical crew.
The film will release on January 12, ahead of the Pongal festival.
